Another Christmas Card Idea

Here's another idea I was playing around with for World Card Making Day. I really like the stamped image being stamped right on the card stock instead of being stamped on a separate piece of card stock and layered. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

Elements of Style

Here's the last card that I had for World Card Making Day. It features one of Shelli's favorite stamp sets - Elements of Style. I got this stamp set when I went to Leadership back in January. There are so many great cards and scrapbook pages that you can make with this stamp set. In fact, this card was inspired by the scrapbook page featuring this stamp set in the current Idea Book and Catalog. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

More World Card Making Day Samples

Thanks to everyone who braved the rain and made it to World Card Making Day. It was great to see you! Here's another card that I had for everyone to stamp. This card features the new Two Step Bird Extra Large punch. I stamped a scrap piece of paper with the dot stamp from the Polka Dot & Paisley stamp set and then punched it out. The More the Merrier

Here's another card that I will be featuring at World Card Making Day tomorrow. It's from The More the Merrier stamp set, which was a hostess stamp set from last year. It features the retired colors of Ballet Blue, Gable Green, and Lovely Lilac. World Card Making Day Sneak Peek

Saturday is World Card Making Day. Be sure to stop by Centennial Hall between 10 am and 5 pm to hand stamp a variety of cards. Fun Flowers by Kandi

This card is another favorite of mine. The flowers were stamped in basic black ink and colored with markers. So easy to do and such a great look! Since the colors didn't scan so well, the card stock is Green Galore, a color that is retiring at the end of June! Be sure to stock up while supplies last. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

More Cards from All Occasion Card Clinic

Great Friend

This stamp set and designer series paper was available in last year's Occasions Mini Catalog. The stamp set is still available, but alas, the paper is not. This card uses Cameo Coral (another retiring color!) and Kiwi Kiss (which is not making a return in the new colors). All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

I got this stamp set at Leadership this past January before it was available in the Summer Mini Catalog. Woo-hoo! I got the idea for this card again from Shelli's blog. I used Ruby Red in this card. This was a favorite stamp set of mine from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I hope it shows up in the new catalog! I got the idea for this card from Shelli's blog (http://www.soshelli.com/). Here's a card with an oldie but goodie stamp set - Loads of Love. With the Loads of Love stamp set and the two accessory stamp sets, the possibilities with this set are endless. All Occasion Card Clinic

Thanks to everyone who stopped by this past Saturday to hand stamp cards. It was great to see you! Over the next several days, I'll be posting the cards that were available. This first one uses the Trendy Trees stamp set that was on sale last month. It coordinated perfectly with the Sweet Pea DSP that was in the Occasions Mini Catalog. UFO's

Do you have any Un-Finished Objects (UFO's) laying around the house? I sure do! Here's the beginning of a set of 3x3 note cards that I was making for my mom. Happy Easter

I wish everyone a happy Easter! Ginny and I made some (well, maybe a lot of) cookies for Easter. We made both butter and sugar cookies. We used a cookie stamp on the butter cookies. For the sugar cookies, I tried a new royal icing recipe that turned out well. (Thanks, Foodnetwork!) Since we had so many cookies, we bagged a few up to give to our neighbors. Here's a picture of the bags and a close up of the tags. Of course we had to use some Stampin' Up! product somewhere. The tag is stamped from the Eggcoutrements stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Almost all of the stamped images in that stamp set can be punched out. Woo-hoo!! Happy 40th Birthday!

My cousin Cory is joining the 40 club this Saturday so I wanted to create a special birthday card for him. Of course, I had to use black and white for the card. I was inspired by a St. Patrick's Day project in the March issue of Stampin' Success to use the Mark the Date and Full Calendar stamp sets for the card. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

For the Birds Pins

For my last display item, I wanted to try something that I hadn't seen yet. I was inspired by the flower pins made using the Big Shot and fabric. I thought I could try to make a bird pin out of card stock since the punches don't cut through fabric like the Big Shot does. I wanted to give the card stock a little something extra so I used a couple coats of Crystal Effects to reinforce the card stock and give it that little something extra. Here's the result. For the Birds Scrapbook Page

I wanted to create a scrapbook page for the display as well. This past month Ginny made a birdhouse-shaped water gauge so I had the perfect picture for my scrapbook page! I tried to re-create the birdhouse on the page. I was kind of close, I think! (Smile!) All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

As part of my display, I will also be making projects with the new On Board Bird Book. You can use the book as a scrapbook or you can customize individual birds for door hangers, name tags for dinner parties, etc. Here's one that I made with my daughter's name on it. Bird Punch Card

Here's my first card that I made with the XL Bird Punch. I'm not sure why it scanned so blurry. Sorry about that. It was really easy to create the bird with the punch. The wing is punched separately (but at the same time) so that you can use a dimensional to pop it up. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

I'm working on a display for my upline's upcoming team meeting in March. The theme is birds, and I will be featuring the new XL Bird on a Branch punch and On Board Bird Book in the Occasions Mini Catalog. More I {Heart} Hearts

I really like this card design (see 1/28/10) so I decided to make it again using different colors. The card base is pink so it didn't scan well. Sorry about that! Hopefully you can get the idea, though. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

More Heart Treat Cups

Tonight Ginny and I made Valentines for her grandparents and cousins. We used the Heart Treat Cups. It was a little trickier that I had anticipated punching the heart after stamping the image that goes around the heart since you can't see the stamped image when your card stock is in the punch. So a quick tip is to mark the center with a pencil so that you have a better chance of centering your punch. Even if it isn't perfect, the recipients will enjoy your art from the heart!! It was also a little tricky placing the filled cup on the card stock backing. I don't have a real great tip for that other than it seemed to work holding the cup and card stock at an angle. The tape isn't super sticky on the cup so if you need to reposition the cup, you can. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

100 Bears

Today is the Art for Kids at TMHS. My friend Lecia and I are hosting a table for kids to dress paper Build-A-Bears. We're making 100 bears each with accessories. Here's what my 100 bears look like. It was pretty easy to die cut them all in a fairly short period of time. I was able to put 2 through the Big Shot at a time so I only had to crank the handle 50 times instead of 100! I {Heart} Hearts, Part 3

I'm having fun playing around with the clear mounted version of the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. At first I thought it might be better to stick with the wood mounted blocks since I needed to use the same acrylic block for all 4 hearts. But then as I tried to squeeze all 4 hearts on one small piece of card stock, I figured out the brilliance of using the clear acrylic blocks. I was able to get all 4 hearts only because I was able to see exactly where I was stamping. I'm sold on the clear mounted stamps and clear acrylic blocks now!! Purple & Yellow Color Challenge

My most recent copy of Stampin' Success had an article titled "The Purple & Yellow Craze." In the article, we were challenged to pair purple & yellow in our next project. Purple & yellow are natural complements since they are directly across from each other on the color wheel.

Last week my dear Aunt Debi passed away. I wanted to hand stamp a special card for her family. I remembered a card design (see the Barely Banana & Real Red card) from a few year ago that I still really love so I decided to make another card using that template and changing the colors to Almost Amethyst and Barely Banana. I was making two cards and goofed on one of the cards (I stamped the diamond image on the wrong side) so I rotated the design 90 degrees, and I think it turned out fine.

Leadership Projects

I'm back from Leadership, and I can't wait to share everything with you! At Leadership, we received the With All My Heart stamp set from the new Occasions Mini Catalog and used it for our make and takes. Here are two cards that we made with the stamp set. For one of the cards (the Bashful Blue one), Stampin' Up! gave us enough supplies to make two cards so that we could donate one card to the Ronald McDonald House. Stampin' Up! is a national sponsor of the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Every year Stampin' Up! designs an exclusive stamp set to help raise money for RMHC.
