This past weekend, Ginny and I were at Girl Scout camp. I took my Big Shot, and all the girls enjoyed decorating back-to-school items with flowers, butterflies, leaves, etc. Since I was busy this weekend, here's an oldie but goodie using the Big Shot and the leaves die. Pencil Toppers

Here are butterfly pencil toppers to finish the back-to-school ensemble. I didn't want to cover the erasers so I attached the butterfly just below the metal portion of the pencil. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

Here's another back-to-school item that I made for my daughter. It's a bookmark that coordinates with the notebook that I covered for her. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

Back to School Ideas

I was inspired by an article in my Stampin' Success magazine from Stampin' Up! and from an email from Family Fun to create decorate some back to school supplies for my daughter. Here's the notebook that I decorated for her. She's still a pink girl and loves butterflies. The butterflies are cut using the Big Shot. They are doubled-layered with a coordinating solid color butterfly underneath and a patterned butterfly on top. The butterfly on top is only attached at the middle so that the edges of the wings are free. I debated about whether to add more embellishments like buttons, brads, but I was concerned that they may catch on something and tear off so I kept it unembellished. Keep checking back for a couple of more back to school ideas that I have! All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

I received some more cards from my upline on Saturday. (Thanks, Janet!) I so happy to share them with you because they are quick to make and so very cute. The cupcake card uses the new The More the Merrier hostess stamp set. The robot card uses the new Lots of Bots stamp set (great for all you out there that have only boys or men in your life!) New Stamp Set Swap

I am participating in a swap with my upline. We are to create 36 cards using a new SU! stamp set. I decided to use Animal Stories and the coordinating Tall Tales DSP. Here's a picture of my swap. I was excited that I could punch out the elephant since I didn't want to hand cut 36 elephants!! All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!
