Christmas Matchboxes

Sorry I've been gone for so long. This holiday season has been really busy for me. I wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas and holiday season!!

Here's a quick and easy present I made for a few friends this past weekend. I used the Matchbox die, chocolate chip card stock, and Christmas-themed designer series paper to create a few of these cute matchboxes. Here are pictures of both the matchbox closed and the matchbox open. The treats are Hershey nuggets covered with designer series paper. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

More Cards from Lecia

Here are the rest of Lecia's Christmas cards from the Christmas Card Clinic. I love the pairing of the red and chocolate- so yummy!! And while the dove card took a little while to ink with markers, I think the result was worth the extra effort. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

Christmas Cards by Kandi

Here are some of the Christmas cards that Kandi had prepared for our Christmas Card Clinic on the 15th. I love the new ornament stamp set with the coordinating punch. As I always say, why cut something out when you can punch it out?? I also adore the retro Christmas paper as well.

I love the pink and celery colors that Kandi used on the snowflake card. And the celery ribbon adds a nice touch!

Another Christmas Card for Sunday

Here's another card that will be available on Sunday. When I saw this color combination for Christmas a few years ago, I fell in love. I always like to make at least one card using this color combination: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, and Bashful Blue. All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

Christmas Cards this Sunday

Lecia, Kandi, and I will be getting together to host a Christmas Card Clinic. We will have around 12 different Christmas card designs prepped and ready for you to stamp and assemble. The cost is $1 per card with a $2 entry fee to help pay for the room rental.

I've been working on my cards today, and I came up with two different designs for a card using the Loads of Love stamp set so I'm taking a vote to see which one you like the best. Leave a quick note for me on my blog, and I will have your favorite at the card clinic on Sunday.

Where I've Been!

Sorry to have been away from posting for so long. I was out of town for my grandmother's funeral. When I got back, I was busy getting my My Digital Studio (MDS) certification! I'm even more excited about this program seeing everything that I can do with it. I can't wait to share the software with you. Here is a picture of a Christmas card from MDS. This is a template, and I didn't make any changes at all! My next project is to make a Christmas photo card from scratch! All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

Anniversary Card

My sister's 10th wedding anniversary is today. Congratulations, JoAnna and Paul!! I pondered and pondered which stamp set would be best. My first thought was flowers (good for any occasion!), but I wasn't quite inspired to use them. Then I remembered I have the All in the Family stamp set. I could customize a family card for them. Here's the result. I used the new Soft Suede for the card background and So Saffron for the accent. I even decided to dust off my Watercolor Wonder Crayons, too. This past weekend, Ginny and I were at Girl Scout camp. I took my Big Shot, and all the girls enjoyed decorating back-to-school items with flowers, butterflies, leaves, etc. Since I was busy this weekend, here's an oldie but goodie using the Big Shot and the leaves die. Back to School Ideas

I was inspired by an article in my Stampin' Success magazine from Stampin' Up! and from an email from Family Fun to create decorate some back to school supplies for my daughter. Here's the notebook that I decorated for her. She's still a pink girl and loves butterflies. The butterflies are cut using the Big Shot. They are doubled-layered with a coordinating solid color butterfly underneath and a patterned butterfly on top. The butterfly on top is only attached at the middle so that the edges of the wings are free. I debated about whether to add more embellishments like buttons, brads, but I was concerned that they may catch on something and tear off so I kept it unembellished. Keep checking back for a couple of more back to school ideas that I have! All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

Big Shot Clear Flower Die

The Big Shot is so much fun!! Stampin' Up! just released a preview of the Holiday Mini Catalog, and there are a lot of fun things including a Build-a-Bear Big Shot die!! Can you believe it?? I can't wait to get my hands on that one. In the meantime, here's a fun project that I did with my daughter's Daisy troop. We had a tea party for the guests at the Bridge. We had a flower theme so we made these cute center pieces using Candy Lane DSP and the clear Big Shot flower and butterfly dies. I think they turned out quite well, and the girls had fun using the Big Shot! All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

Animal Stories

The 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog is here! (Well, almost here- you can order from the new catalog now, but I'm still waiting for my shipment of catalogs.) I did receive my complimentary copy of the catalog, and I'm so excited with the new products and new In Colors! I was able to preorder the Animal Stories stamp set and Tall Tales Designer Series Paper (DSP). I needed quick thank you cards tonight so I was able to use scrap Tall Tales DSP on these love note-sized cards. I think they turned out pretty cute. Looks like my favorite image might be of the elephant! All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

Christmas Punch

I tend not to pre-buy hostess stamps sets because I can usually get them for free later on, but when I saw this stamp set, I couldn't resist. You can use a punch to cut out every stamped image! It doesn't get much easier than that! And when I saw the sample in the Idea Book & Catalog of creating a set of Christmas gift tags, I was sold on this stamp set!! I had fun stamping these, and Ginny even helped me on a few. Enjoy! All images are copyrighted by Stampin' Up!

Birthday Card

I finally finished the Twilight books (all 4!) so I'm free to craft and post to my blog again!! I wanted to share this special card made especially for me from my friend Colleen.
